Deseos Arabians & Miniatures LLC - Classical Training for the Recreational Rider
(adoption pending)

UPDATE: September 11, 2011
Brody is currently being fostered for training by Deseos Arabians. Brody's trainer Lori Torrini and her husband Jim Barrentine have made the decision to adopt Brody at the end of his foster agreement.

UPDATE: August 5, 2011
Brody has gained weight and strength, his stamina has increased and he appears to be in overall better shape. He has integrated into a herd and is interacting naturally with his herdmates. We believe it is time to modify his training regimen to more frequent rides for longer periods of time. Updates will continue and a link to his training log can be viewed by clicking further down this page on "Brody's Training Notes".

We welcome Brody to our ranch for training. He is available for adoption through Ruby Ranch Horse Rescue. Brody will stay with us until mid to late July 2011 thanks to a training grant that Ruby Ranch Horse Rescue Received from the Animal Assistance Foundation of Colorado. Brody is a 5 year old red roan pinto gelding. He came to Ruby Ranch Horse Rescue along with his sire, Frodo, and his dam, Ellie, from a starvation/neglect situation. He is recently started under saddle, has had his first ride in a bit, and has taken to obstacles with curiosity and courage! Brody is currently being worked at the walk and learning to turn, circle, and halt. He has been introduced to the trot on straight lines. A photo album has been started for him and will be added to frequently.
