The ranch is 35 acres consisting of 5 pastures or turn out areas.  We have a 12 stall miniature horse barn, hay storage building, two loafing areas capable of housing 8 horses, and a 22 stall barn for our lesson horses.  We have a working barn which houses our tack room, feed room, grooming area, and hay storage, it is diligently protected by our four "attack" cats who manage to keep it rodent free.  We have an on-site office which contains refreshments, promotional and educational materials, an equine library, and waiting/viewing area for guests.

 

We have plenty of places to tie and place horses outside the barn for grooming, tacking up, and temporary holding.  We also have extra space for guest horses if you are bringing your own for lessons or clinics.

 

There is ample room for trailer and vehicle parking.  When you arrive and get parked go into the brown barn where you will find your instructor or assistant.  Posted in the barn you will find the current month's calendar containg a lesson schedule and any special events posted.  A list is posted of lesson horses and saddles.  This list will have your lesson horse and saddle assignment for your lesson that day.  Intermediate students may gather, groom, and tack up their horse with limited supervision and assistance.  Beginners must wait for an instructor prior to gettting their assigned horse and you will be assisted with grooming and tacking up.

 

We have a large rectangular outdoor arena and a smaller oval training arena.  Most of our training is conducted in these arenas or around the barn area.  Those students studying and practicing trail riding are able to take trail riding lessons in our pastures, the road, the surrounding lands, and occasionally off-site at local trails.

 

 

 

 

We offer instruction all year long and do not have an indoor arena at this time.  If at any time the weather looks questionable please call us before you leave your home to check if conditions are suitable to ride or train.  Instruction that does not involve riding can still be conducted in our barns during inclement weather.   It is advisable to dress in layers, bring gloves, and have a hat with you in case they are needed.
