Featured Horses for Adoption
In July of 2009 22 horses were rescued from neglect in Fremont County, Colorado. These horses were Arabians and Arabian crosses, some of them pinto colored. The criminal case on these horses resulted in the perpetrator, Geraldine Rem taking a plea agreement. She was sentenced on April 14, 2010 to 6 months in jail and a fine. She must attend anger management classes and can never own another animal. Several of these horses had to be euthanized due to years of severe neglect which they were unable to recover from. Others are still at local rescues awaiting adoption. Deseos Arabians & Miniatures LLC adopted two foals from this herd in October 2009, Trance & Libby.
